Ruby on Rails

Ruby guides is really great resource for RoR learning. But I can advise you www.codeschool.com also. They have fun course called "Rails for Zombies". It's little messy for the begginers, but it really helps me when I was just started RoR learning.

A little background is that I want to create a program for personal use that uses Databases to store lots of information. They wopuld draw from each other and work to help in large scale event planning and management.
