OK Marnen, your hectoring has overcome me: I got Git working with a
local repository :-)
BTW, if you had mentioned that Linus Torvalds was the founder of
Git, I would have embraced it a lot sooner ;)
But BDD will have to wait for the addition of one more feature:
authenticated users.
