I've run into this same issue myself. It looks like work started on this feature but bogged down. See https://github.com/rails/rails/pull/16836

Would be great to get that pull request fixed up and merged in!

Hi there!

In my project I have a few engines. Each engine has its own set of Mailers and templates.

I want to have Previews for each specific engine, and keep them in engines.

I've found that ActionMailer Preview provides a way to change a path to preview classes, but looks like it's impossible to use an array of paths, or use something like `prepand_view_path / append_view_path ` like we can do in controllers.

https://github.com/rails/rails/blob/3faf7485623da55215d6d7f3dcb2eed92c59c699/actionmailer/lib/action_mailer/preview.rb#L92

Is there any way to have multiple paths for ActionMailer Preview?

Is it possible to create some kind of monkey patch to implement it?

Thanks!

Use the `unless` key instead of `if` on the validation.

This will perform the validation unless the column is null, i.e., will perform validation if the column is not null.

In this particular case I would use unless:, or "!name.nil?" if you prefer.

Hi. You should use different names for association and for foreign key for this association. Looks like they are overlapping, just rename association name to fit ar conventions - and it should work.

I don't think you can use same name for attribute and association
because it'll be confusing (what does model.ProvincialTaxAreaCode mean?
Is it the attribute or the association?). Try naming the association
something else.

Hi,

I've a new in-place locale editor for Rails, which allows you to just click on the locale text in your live Rails site and edit it, without needing to know the translation key. It also allows editing of internationalized attributes such as tooltips, using a right-click context menu. I'd like some testers. If you would, please look at https://github.com/BrucePerens/i18n-edit for instructions.

    Thanks

Not even remotely a Rails question.

I'd have to think there are general web-dev lists/forums for posting
questions about HTML and CSS. Or you could read the specs...

No need to ask twice. I have responded in your original post.

What is in the schema definition file? That is db/schema.rb.

Whether it is installed or not is irrelevant, what matters is whether
it is in your Gemfile and Gemfile.lock. The reason it had been
installed was because it was in the Gemfile, not the other way round
(unless you installed it manually).

That has nothing to do with the question: did you *restart* the rails
server after editing the config/database.yml file?

There's nothing to "set up" - it's built in; "rails console" is the command
to run. Try it and see if you can access your ActiveRecord models.

Or alternatively, "rails dbconsole" should give you direct access to the
DB command line.

Did you restart the server *after* you edited that file? Can you start
up a Rails console and access the DB from there?
