Position: Sr. Ruby on Rails Engineer

Domain Experts Corporation (DEC) provides Executive Search Services to the technology vertical.  Our Customer is a well established  company in the San Francisco Bay Area and uses state of the art technology to enable mobile payments and ecommerce. We are looking for a senior Ruby on Rails Engineer for our clients. Positions are urgent. Hence local US based candidates preferred.  Open for H1B candidates also ,  if based in the US

 

The position:

As a senior backend engineer, you will  be responsible for  building the infrastructure for our client's revolutionary offering . You will  design and implement high-volume, fault-tolerant, scalable server systems. You will work closely with the team to design, implement and iterate features quickly. .

 

Requirements:

o    Leadership experience in progressively complex Ruby On Rails development with working exposure to Rails 3.2 and Ruby 1.9.x

o    Expert level of experience in RoR and Javascript testing frameworks (RSpec, Cucumber, Jasmine)

o    Experience with Backbone.js or other Javascript frameworks highly desired

o    Industry experience with Java development a big plus

o    Strong knowledge of MySQL5

o    Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3) desired

o    Experience building large-scale server applications and reliable software

o    Five to ten years hands-on programming experience

o    Ability to tackle complex development issues under tight schedules

o    B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related fields

o    Experience building a team rapidly as one of the core technical experts
